Thank you, Rep. Camillo, for taking this action on behalf of your constituents in Connecticut.

On March 23, 2010, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors joined Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and other communities in California, Oregon, Arizona and New Mexico in passing a resolution calling for the U.S. Congress to repeal the Telecommunications Act of 1996's health and environmental preemption. The text of the San Francisco resolution may be found at http://www.sfbos.org/ftp/uploadedfiles/bdsupvrs/bosagendas/materials/bag032310_100043.pdf.

The texts of some of the other resolutions have been assembled at http://www.cloutnow.org, the website of a national grass-roots organization committed to changing the federal Telecommunications Act of 1996 with regard to this issue.

Perhaps similar resolutions could be introduced in local communities throughout Connecticut as well.

Just as each of our families tightens their belts to reflect the income and ensure we do not fall into debt, so the state must do its part. Part of the problem is that politicians think that the taxpayer has a deep pocket. The case is that we all need to live within our means.
That way, we can ensure we do not deliver a mess to our kids.

Rep Camillo, please conitnue to do your part in ensuring the state does not spend foolishly. We are counting on you and the other sane politicians in Hartford.

A concerned citizen in Riverside
Sincerely,
David

Good job, Fred. We need more advocates like you for single-stream recycling.
